RE: CREDENTIALS: In order to become an LCSW, post-masters (MSSW) grads are required to complete 3000 supervised hours of face-to-face client contact before sitting for the national licensure exam. “Clinical Fellow ” category of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy was created for therapists who already held a license in another mental health discipline. However, to achieve AAMFT Clinical Fellow, she had to complete an additional 3000 hours of work with couples and families which was supervised by an AAMFT-approved supervisor.
LCSW’s in Tennessee are required to complete 15 Continuing Education hours a year. She loves to continue to learn, so her annual average is usually 40 or more hours a year.
RE: REVIEWS:While some clients may choose to submit reviews, LCSW’s are not permitted to request that clients publicly review their services, because such requests would be considered an ethical violation.
